Prof. Steve Koonin, the director of the Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) at NYU (http://cusp.nyu.edu/), will visit us on Feb. 11,
2013 to give the physics department colloquium. Steve was previously Physics Professor and Provost at Caltech, Chief Scientist of BP, and Undersecretary for Science at the Department of Energy.
Prof. Koonin invites Yale science students to join him in a meeting in which he will present and discuss the new CUSP graduate programs in Applied Urban Science and Informatics. The meeting will take place on Monday, Feb 11, 2013, 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the 3rd floor lounge of Sloane Physics Lab, 217 Prospect St. Pizza will be served.
