ABOUT NYU CUSP:

CUSP is a historic partnership between six leading academic institutions, ten prominent technology companies, and the City ofNew Yorkto connect the power of the digital revolution with the challenges of global urbanization.

CUSP observes, analyzes, and models cities to optimize outcomes, prototype new solutions, formalize new tools and processes, and develop new expertise/experts.

NYU CUSP is looking for Yale students who:

  • Have the ability to use & apply big data to understand and address real-world challenges in the urban context
  • Will be at the forefront of the emerging field of urban informatics
  • Can use New York City as its laboratory and classroom to help cities – big and small - around the world become more productive, livable, equitable, and resilient
  • Have interdisciplinary majors who also have a quantitative background and want to engage in the study of urban science and informatics in a flexible full time or part time program catered to the student’s academic and professional goals
